| When you meet Chad it is impossible to miss the glint in his eye and the passion in his voice when he talks about Velocity Motorcars. It’s hard to explain how driven Chad is and how much he truly loves cars unless you have that same love yourself…and I’m betting that since you’re checking out this website you do! Chad is actively involved in supporting the local chapter of the BMW Car Club of America and participates in many functions such as Auto Cross racing. In addition, Chad is constantly working on his own BMWs. He has a total of three (for the moment)…so if that tells you anything…much of his time is spent enhancing and taking care of these cars. In fact, Chad’s own cars provide him a working canvas for Velocity Motorcars. Chad will be honest with you about any of the products he carries and he is a great resource...since he only provides products which he himself has designed or has used and had satisfaction with.
Chad’s love of cars began at an early age…by the time he was 14 years old he had purchased and began to fix up his first car…a 1965 Mustang Coupe. Managing to juggle a high school class load and spending every other waking minute working on the car, Chad finished the frame up restoration in approximately four years! Chad’s passion, hard work, dedication, and love of cars is unmatched, and it should be no surprise that Chad’s desire to build and develop a company that focuses on the his passion for cars resulted in the formation of Velocity Motorcars.
Chad has a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and has worked for over 10 years as a Senior Project Engineer, designing subsea equipment for various oil and gas companies. Not only was he a proactive leader within the industry, he was often credited with his ability to step in and solve complex problems; making equipment more efficient and cost effective, while still managing to develop and maintain strong customer relationships. Chad used his educational background, work experience and strategic problem solving skills to start up his company, Velocity Motorcars...it's been a big jump...but it was an easy decision for Chad and he has never looked back! When you have that much passion and will to do something, Chad believes that you have to "break the mold™” and make your dreams a reality! Chad’s expertise and education in mechanical engineering will allow him to design and manufacture his own line of quality products, including carbon fiber body pieces, exhausts, suspension kits, etc. It’s great to know that you’ll be purchasing products from someone that has the knowledge, education and experience to offer you the highest quality that you deserve...not to mention that, if Chad won't put it on any one of his three BMWs, you can be sure that he won't suggest that you put it on yours!
It is interesting to know that, for his final project prior to graduating with his B.S.M.E., Chad designed a heated fuel injection engine…improving the efficiency and emissions of currently manufactured automotive engines almost ten years ago! In fact one of the engine's main contributing factors to improving emissions was directly injecting heated fuel into the cylinders and using an infinite ratio intake valve that controlled engine speed. If you are up to speed on current BMW technology, you will recognize that this fuel and intake control (except for the fuel being heated) is what newer BMW's do to inject the fuel and control engine speed…and Chad mastered this concept a decade ago.
In addition to his love for cars, Chad’s second passion is working on the house. In a period of three years he demolished and completely rebuilt the entire house himself. Now let me expand on that…most people assume that by saying he redid the house himself he contracted out the jobs and managed the project…on the contrary...Chad literally built the entire house from the sill plates up with his own hands. Chad also enjoys woodworking and just finished designing and hand crafting the front doors of our house…something he’s never done before…but by looking at the doors, you would never know. In fact, people always think that the doors were purchased and custom made… and they are right about the fact that they were custom made…but totally wrong about the purchased part.
You rarely come across someone that is as driven and with as much raw talent as Chad. Not only is he a perfectionist in everything he does; he is focused and he devotes himself entirely to any project he is working on…and you can be assured that he does the same for his business and his customers.
